Sassafras Seniors Camp 2025

June 15–20, 2025
Overnight camp for youth completing grades 8–12

Sassafras Seniors is a week-long, high-energy summer camp designed for high school students seeking adventure, connection, and spiritual growth. Campers will explore the outdoors with hiking, biking, and kayaking, get messy in the Monocacy River, and relax by the pool with old and new friends. Expect meaningful time in chapel, time to reflect and wonder, late-night conversations, friendship bracelet-making, and classic Claggett fun.

Whether you’ve been coming for years or this is your first summer at Claggett, you are welcome here. Come as you are, and get ready for a week of unforgettable memories, deep friendships, and joyful discovery.

Mulberry Middle Camp 2025

July 6–11, 2025
Overnight summer camp for youth completing grades 6–8

Adventure, friendship, and faith come together at Mulberry Middle Camp, a week-long overnight program designed especially for middle schoolers. Campers will hike scenic trails, canoe and kayak the Potomac, splash in the Monocacy, create arts and crafts, and relax by the pool—all while building lifelong friendships and exploring their faith in a welcoming community.

Whether it’s your first time at Claggett or you’ve been coming for years, you’ll find a place to belong. Campers are invited to sing, laugh, grow, and just be themselves through a week of meaningful chapel experiences, team games, and time to unwind.

Juneberry Juniors Camp 2025

July 13–18, 2025
Overnight summer camp for youth completing grades 2–6

Let the adventure begin! Juneberry Juniors Camp is the perfect introduction to overnight summer camp for elementary-aged kids, offering a week full of outdoor fun, friendship, and faith in a safe and supportive environment. Campers will hike, bike, canoe the Potomac, explore the Monocacy, create crafts, sing around the campfire, and cool off in the pool—all while discovering their unique place in a loving, Christ-centered community.

Whether it’s your first time at Claggett or you’re returning for another unforgettable summer, this is a place where kids can grow in confidence, faith, and joy. Daily chapel services, led in age-appropriate ways, invite campers to wonder, worship, and experience God’s love through stories and song. Come as you are—Juneberry Juniors is ready to welcome you! FAQS ABOUT CAMP

What are the age groups for each camp session?

  • Sassafras Seniors: completed grades 8–12
  • Mulberry Middle: completed grades 6–8
  • Juneberry Juniors: completed grades 2–6

How does camp registration and check-in work?

Check-in begins at 4:00 PM in the Barn on the first day. Late arrivals cannot be accommodated.
Campers meet with the camp nurse for medication drop-off, then finalize paperwork and dorm assignments with the Camp Director.

What is Claggett’s “tiered pricing” structure?

Families choose from three price tiers based on ability to pay — all offering the same full camp experience:

  • Subsidized: $525
  • Direct Cost: $675
  • True Cost: $825

A non-refundable deposit of $100 holds each spot.

Can my camper bring food or snacks from home?

No outside food is allowed

What safety measures are in place at camp?

At least one fully trained Senior Counselor (18+, First Aid/CPR certified) is present during all activities and transitions. High-risk activities are led only by certified staff. The camp has a full-time camp nurse on site 24/7, plus a Mental Health Advisor consultant. We also submit a full safety plan to the Maryland Department of Health for certification.

What is the electronic device policy?

Camp is intentionally tech-free. Campers should not bring electronic devices or cell phones; any communication with home goes through camp administration only.

How can I contact my camper while they are at camp?

Parents and guardians are encouraged to send letters or emails to their camper during the week. Instructions for email delivery will be provided before camp begins. Phone calls to or from campers are reserved for emergencies and will be facilitated by camp staff.

How inclusive is housing at Claggett?

Claggett offers gender-inclusive dorms in addition to single-gender housing. These include private changing areas, adjacent counselor rooms, and diverse staff supervision. Families choose housing preferences during registration, and all campers are affirmed and respected for their identity.
