Claggett Center’s 268 acre campus offers a host of recreational activities for youth and adults.

Hiking Trails

Explore over four miles of scenic hiking and walking trails winding through fields, forests, and along the Monocacy River. Guests can walk paved paths, journey toward the historic cemetery, or hike newly developed wooded trails.

Basketball Court & Ball Field

Perfect for team-building and fun, our sports facilities include a basketball court, large field space, and equipment areas for volleyball, soccer, softball, kickball, and other outdoor games.

Pavilion & Barn Gathering Spaces

Our lighted pavilion and historic barn provide flexible outdoor shelter for worship services, square dances, crafts, skits, and musical performances. The pavilion seats up to 200 and includes folding chairs, tables, and a raised stage.

Challenge Ropes Course

In partnership with Upward Enterprises, guests can participate in a Challenge by Choice ropes course that builds teamwork, confidence, and connection. Contact us to learn how to include this experience in your group’s retreat.
